Grand Christmas Celebration in Riverdale!

On 23rd December 2016, Riverdale High School celebrated Christmas in a very exclusive way. The Chief Guests for this function were the Children of Bhagvan Baba Orphanage Institute.

The day began with the Riverdale bus drivers and cleaners welcoming the children in the dress of Santa and gifting the chocolates. The Program started with the welcoming of these special guests by offering flowers and chocolates. A musical welcome was given by singing of Christmas Carole by Riverdale Choir. This was followed by a very beautiful presentation of Karnataka Lifestyle by Primary Children.

Charuta Hinge, a Student of Std. 9th gave a very informative speech on Christmas which was followed by a mesmerizing skit on the birth of Jesus Christ. Most awaited arrival of Santa Clause was accompanied by the famous Carol “Jingle Bell”. The students were very excited with the arrival of Santa Clause and they received gifts and Chocolates from him. All the Children from Bhagvan Baba Orphanage were also felicitated with gifts at the hands of Hon. Director Dr. Dharmendra Mittal, Hon. Principal, VP and Hon. HM. The Admin staff, School Council Members and a few students from Primary Section also felicitated the Orphanage Children with gifts and biscuits.

Hon. Director Dr. Mittal in his address wished all the students for Christmas and New Year. He also appreciated the performances of the students which were presented on this occasion. Vote of thanks was conveyed by the CCA In charge Mr. Ganesh Tarate. The Programme was anchored by Riverdale students Bhargav Bidkar, Vaidehi Tarte, Soha Sheikh and Shreesh Pathak. The celebration was concluded with the National Anthem.

CCA Department including all the teaching and non-teaching staff took the efforts for the success of this programme.
