RiverDale Celebrates 68th Republic Day with Great Spirit

RiverDale High School celebrated 68th Republic Day of our country with great joy and fervor. The glory of this event was enhanced by benign presence of Hon. Trustee of RiverDale Mr. Praveen Somani Sir, Hon. Director, RiverDale High School, Dr. D. Mittal Sir and the Chief Guest Prof. P. G. Deshpande. Similarly, Principal, Vice-Principal and Head Mistress graced this occasion with their auspicious presence.

At the outset, all the dignitaries were given a warm welcome. Chief Guest Prof P. G. Deshpande Sir hoisted the flag. Next to this, a student Sanvidha Shinde, delivered a speech telling the importance of the Republic Day. This was followed by the group song ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge’ by school choir. In other activities, the defense demo & Yoga Demonstration were appreciated by all. On this occasion, the students those who brought laurels for the school by winning different Lokmat Campus Club Competitions, were also felicitated. Further in the programme, Hon. Trustee Mr. Praveen Somani Sir conveyed the meaning of the Republic Day in his speech. The director Dr. D. Mittal appreciated the events and conveyed his greetings to all. The Chief Guest Prof. Pradeep Deshpande, highlighted the areas of Indian Democracy needing improvement. The events were followed by ‘Swachchhata Abhiyan’, in which, the students happily participated under the guidance of respective in charge teachers. Overall, the programme was a great success. Comparing was done by Aarti Pal. The programme was concluded with the National Song ‘Vande Mataram.
